Information on the processing of personal data

Pursuant to articles 13 and 14 of Regulation EU 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (hereafter referred to as “Privacy Regulation”), you will find, below, information on the processing of the personal data of users who access the yourlanguage.amsa.it website and its subdomains. The information is not related to any other websites accessed by the user through links.

1. Who controls personal data?

Personal data is controlled by AMSA S.p.A. with registered offices at Via Olgettina 25, 20132 Milan, Italy. 

2. Who is the Data Protection Officer?

The controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) who can be contacted by e-mail at the following address dpo.privacy@a2a.it.

3. Why is personal data processed?

4. Which personal data is processed?

Only Internet activity data (e.g. IP addresses) is processed.

5. How is the data processed?

The data is processed by authorized personnel in the performance of their duties, with or without the support of electronic devices and in accordance with the principles of lawfulness and correctness so as to safeguard at all times the confidentiality and the rights of the person or persons involved.

6. Who is the personal data communicated to?

Your personal data can be made available to:

  • third parties that provide related services instrumental in the processing performed by the controller, such as IT service companies;
  • public bodies, authorities and agencies acting in compliance with legal obligations.

The above parties will act as required for each case as controller or processor of the data.

Your data will not be divulged (made available to unspecified parties).

7. Is the data sent to other countries?

Your data will be processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). Should it be necessary in exceptional circumstances to transfer data outside the EEA, this will take place on the basis of a decision of acceptability by the European Commission, if applicable, or in the presence of adequate guarantees required by the Privacy Regulation.

9. Which rights can be exercised?

You have the right to ask the Data Controller in those cases foreseen by law:

  • for confirmation that processing of your personal data is or is not under way and, if under way, that you can have access (right of access);
  • for correction of personal data that is incorrect or the completion of incomplete personal data (right of rectification);
  • for the deletion of the data if there is motivation as foreseen in the Privacy Regulation (right to erasure);
  • for limitation of the processing when one of the cases foreseen by the Privacy Regulation exists (right to restrict processing);
  • to receive the information provided to the data controller in a structured format, for normal use and readable using an automatic device, and to transmit such data to another data controller (right to data portability).

Right to object. Furthermore, you can object at any time to the processing of your data for purposes related to a legitimate interest on the part of the data controller. In this case, the controller will abstain from processing your personal data unless there are legitimate or mandatory reasons to proceed with the processing or to carry out verification, the exercise or defence of a right in legal proceedings.

To exercise your rights, you can send an e-mail message to dpo.privacy@a2a.it or make a written request addressed to the data processor. Where it is not possible to reply to your request using the channel that you have used to submit the request (as in the event of your e-amil address being indicated as deactivated or not reachable), we reserve the right to utilise other contact channels which may already be present in our systems.

10. From which source does personal data originate?

Internet usage data necessary for the IT administration of the website is obtained from the computer systems and software procedures that regulate its functioning.

11. Cookies

Cookies and other tracking tools are used in the website to enable the gathering of data on the user’s Internet activity, such as the IP address.

These tools are usually strings of text placed and stored by the website administrator (or by the administrator of third-party sites in the event of “third parties”) in devices at the disposal of the user (e.g. a computer, a tablet, a smartphone, etc.).

In the context of a website, the following tools are used:

  • cookies and technical tools strictly necessary to ensure the correct and optimum functioning of the website itself or to provide the service requested by the user. In order to use these tools, it is not necessary to obtain the consent of the user.
  • third-party cookies and analytical tools (e.g. Google Analytics 4) exclusively for the processing of general anonymous statistics. These measurement tools track user behaviour and “measure” the use made of the website. In order to perform such tracking, some of these tools may record the users’ IP addresses.
    The functioning of these tools requires the prior consent of the user, who may express consent in the cookie banner and, after this, at any time, modify consent by using the “Change cookie preferences” function accessible using the link in the footer of the website.
