How cleaning takes place

Uboldo's traffic and cleaning needs are constantly evolving

Cleaning streets and urban areas requires us to constantly improve our techniques and the equipment we use.We strive to always be at the forefront to meet the new needs of cities and the new opportunities they offer citizens.

Comprehensive sweeping

Street and pavement cleaning and washing with the use of the “Sweepy-Jet” system: a lance with pressurised water patented by Amsa that makes it possible to clean even under parked cars, avoiding parking restrictions

Area sweeper

Constant presence of an operator with a trolley to maintain cleanliness in semi-central and peripheral areas where there are commercial businesses and high pedestrian and cycle traffic

Massive sweeping

Mechanised cleaning and washing of the roadway adjacent to the pavement, at night, with routes protected by parking restrictions

Fine sweeping

Mechanised and manual cleaning of roads and pavements

Emptying containers

Emptying of containers in the area and removal of waste on the ground near them. Each bin is emptied at least once a day

Pavement cleaning

Mechanised cleaning of the pavement and squares identified as critical

Cleaning of oil spills on the carriageway (resulting from accidents or other incidents)

We send out our emergency teams equipped with either a motorised cart with a tipping tank or a mechanical sweeper (depending on the needs) along with absorbent material

Cleaning of tree rows

Manual cleaning of areas along the main tree rows on city streets, at night, with parking restrictions

Leaf collection

Removal of leaves from the roadway

Clearing of hard-to-reach roads and cycle paths

Washing with small-sized vehicles

Open-air markets

Each week, we collect waste and clean the area of the open-air market in Uboldo

In the market area we have introduced separate waste collection of certain waste. At the end of every open-air market, we collect the generated waste and sweep the market area using mechanical and/or manual means. We utilise an enzyme-based deodorant product at the fish market stalls
